TGL Technology Savage Navy, cal 36, s / n 1054
This is a rather unusual revolver with forward-thinking design. It can be fired without cock with thumb and thus no need to change the grip for every shot. The male strapped with the ring-shaped clamp (middle finger) and firing (index finger) is done with the trigger above the jumper. When the jumper is admitted drum rotates forward and seals against the barrel rear end that is shaped to slide into a bit of the drum chamber. Each control of jumper feeds the drum to the next chamber. If it gets clicks on firing so the male can be tightened with the thumb and then the drum is left in the same position so that you can make a new attempt to get the shot. The revolver has a very robust construction.
The construction of the function with gas-tight transition drum-barrel reminiscent of Nagantrevolvern model 1895 which was patented by brothers Emilie and Leon Nagant emt in Belgium. The revolver was manufactured and shipped in very large numbers to the Russian army. But Savage's revolver has first patent date of 1856 ...!
This copy is in excellent mechanical condition. The nipples are also good and looks to be original. It is likely that the revolver shot with very little and it does not have much handling damage. The grips are intact and fine. The race is good and the revolver is fully sliding. Much of blåneringen remains. Full review and no fixed toasted, either screws or nipples. Overall condition is well above average.
