TGL Technology Remington New Model Army, cal 44, s / n 141031
A fine copy of an original Remington New Model Army with the second direct gov highest direct gov serial number that I have seen so far. It was produced februari 1865. The Civil War ended on April 9, 1865. And by March 1865, no original Remington NMA manufactured. According to Don Wares book ended production at serial number 148550 mars 1865. This copy has the same number on the barrel, frame and trigger guard. Original drum but no which is common in Remington revolvers from that era. This revolver is approved by the Army inspector who has his cartouche on the left side piston. All three lines of pipe link can be read but the text is thin elements. Revolver surface is completely smooth and fine with traces of blueing and otherwise has switched direct gov to the usual dark gray-brown tint. All edges are sharp and the revolver has definitely never been avputsad. Although all screws are in fine condition. No impact marks on the metal before the usual small wound, were at trumaxelns ears. At the rear of the drum is evidence that children of any generation has played with the revolver. The male has dropped down so that it met nippelbrunnarnas edges. The småskadorna cause malfunction in the slightest way. Piston plates are full and fine but a small sliver missing at the bottom rear of the left grip. The grips have almost certainly heard of this gun all the time and on the inside is the serial number recorded in pencil. As a whole sees the revolver appears to have been very little used but a few shots seem to have been fired, followed by proper cleaning. There are remnants of blueing left in the barrel grooves.
Mechanically the revolver in top condition. Drum backlash axial, radial and rotational direction is the same as shipped, ie almost non-existent. Game drum-barrel 0.15mm. The barrel is of course not backed. The race is very close to new condition with deep fine grooves. The nipples are intact and good. Full review and no fixed toasted, direct gov either nipples or screws. A fine and really affordable copy for the collector and a fully optimized copy for black powder shooter.
